Includes traditional midwifery homebirth services focusing on childbirth preparation, prenatal care, nutritional support, labor, delivery and postpartum care. As well as new born baby care. Midwife Charlotte works with her team, which includes herbal and lactation support. Our services cover clients in St. Landry Parish, North Iberville Parish, Pointe Coupee Parish and surrounding areas.

Sometimes clients would like to birth in a hospital or birthing center setting, but still want extra clinical support while at home. As a Licensed Certified Professional Midwife, Midwife Charlotte is able to provide the best of 2 roles, rolled in 1. This includes continuous hands on support during prenatal visits, labor and birth as well as performing maternal and fetal assessment (monitoring of fetal heart tones, monitoring vital signs) and much more. In this capacity, Midwife Charlotte is not the primary provider and will not be catching your baby at home but will accompany you to the hospital or birthing center for extra support and maternal care.
Birth Companion
Many have heard of a "doula", Midwife Charlotte prefers the title "Birth Companion". As an advocate in this non-medical role, the client receives continuous physical, emotional and informational support during your pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum period. She will assist with basic prenatal and childbirth education. and assist you with creating a personalized birth plan. As a Birth Companion, Midwife Charlotte works as part of your birth team. She has expertise in VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and birth after previous pregnancy and infant loss.
Perinatal Health CONSULTATIONS
Navigating the maternal health system can be tricky, especially in Louisiana. Let Midwife Charlotte show you how to use Evidenced Based information to advocate for yourself and how to receive the quality of care you need and deserve. She will share with you your options in birth and teach you language to use for the best possible birth outcome in the birth setting of your choice. You can also schedule 1-on-1 childbirth and prenatal education classes with her.
Evidence based birth instructor
As an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, Charlotte was hand-picked and specially trained in evidence based care. Midwife Charlotte is equipped to teach the official Savvy Birth Pro workshop (developed by Evidence Based Birth®) and the Evidence Based Birth® Seminar Series in her community.
